Tina Chou

Dr. Yi-Ting (Tina) Chou received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at National Cheng Kung University in 2006 and achieved M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering at National Taiwan University in 2008 and 2012, respectively. Her specialized areas of expertise include smart grids, wide-area measurement systems, power restoration, high voltage apparatus fault diagnosis, and artificial intelligence applications to enhance the safety and resilience of power systems. She worked with the Green Electric Energy Research Center at Electrical Engineering Department, National Taiwan University and devoted to multiple national research projects in the power sector. She has been teaching university courses regarding smart grids and renewable energy and has contributed to talent cultivation programs to inspire younger generations to become active in the Taiwan power and energy industry. Dr. Chou is currently the managing director at InterGrid Ltd. and has been working on solutions in the field of energy management, power system simulation, monitoring, control, and protection with renewable energy interconnection. She is an active member of the IEEE Power & Energy Society, Young Professionals, and Women in Engineering since 2012. She serves as the vice-chairman of the Member Services Committee of Taiwan Power and Energy Engineering Association. Dr. Chou is the representative of IEEE Women in Power in Taiwan and is enthusiastic about helping professional women with career paths, leadership, networking, and education.
