Hui Zhang

Dr. Hui Zhang

Dr. Hui Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the State University of New York at Oswego. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2007, and M.S. and B.S. degree from Zhejiang University in China. She has contributed to the research in wide bandgap semiconductor technology, renewable energy conversion, electric vehicles, LED lighting, etc.

Prior to her current position, Dr. Zhang was a chief electrical engineer in Eaton Course-Hinds and has led the redesign of their flagship products and LED driver development. She worked at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from 2005 to 2009. Dr. Zhang has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and US and international patents. She has also led many projects sponsored by various federal, state, and industry funding agencies including NSF and DOE. She is an IEEE Senior Member and advising a local IEEE Student Branch.
