Xiaoqian Li

Xiaoqian Li is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. She received BSEE degree from North China Electrical Power University in 2010, and PhD degree from Tsinghua University in 2015.

Her research interests include high-voltage high-power converter, VSC-HVDC transmission, and rail transit flexible power supply system. She worked on 14 national and international competitive research projects, and lead 8 projects, including 2 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects. She has published more than 30 papers, including 12 SCI papers, 2 ESI Top 1% papers, 1 IECON best paper, the total citation are 1100+. She has 11 granted patents. She received “China Association for Science and Technology Young Scientist Promotion Award” and “China Electricity Council Power Technology Innovation Award” in 2019.

She serves as the Deputy Secretary General of IEEE PES WIP China (2018-2020), and the Deputy Secretary General of IEEE PES China Membership Committee (2019-2021). She established and operates the first WeChat official account of WIP China. Until the end of 2020, it has published 70 articles, and 20 of them have more than 100 reads (2 with 1600+ reads), and has been one of the most popular social media for women in power sector in China. In 2020, She organized the Donation Plan for the Medical Personnel Combating COVID-19, to donate additional funding besides the basic national welfare for the medical staff combating COVID-19 and to provide special care for those infected on duty. By Apr. 8, 2020, WIP China group received 510 donations, with the fund of 240,590.26 RMB ($34717.17) in total.
