Some women are still facing issues that limit their advancement in technical careers. Young girls still believe that engineering is exclusively for men and furthermore, those women who actually develop a career in this path have to balance between family and work. In this presentation we will discuss these issues as well as the ongoing comparison on how men and women behave in leadership positions. Are our differences an advantage or disadvantage to the success of the company?
We will also present how IEEE through the group Women in Power is contributing to help women in the power and energy sector to empower their capabilities
