Donia Amami is an embedded software engineer at Altran Company, she graduated from the national engineering school of Gabes, in electrical and automatic major. She is currently an IEEE young professional member within IEEE ENIG Student Branch. She is serving as a Treasurer of PES Tunisia Section, Secretary of WIE affinity group Tunisia Section, the secretary of IEEE Tunisia Section 2021/2022 and IEEE R8 Section Vitality and Development (SVD) Subcommittee member 2021 /2022. She is an active IEEE member with various and appreciated volunteering. She started her IEEE student membership in 2016, where she served as the PES ENIG SBC chairwoman and WIE Affinity group ENIG SB vice chairwoman. She is also a member in different other technical societies like IAS, PES, PELS and EMBS alongside various IEEE disciplinary societies. She volunteered as an ambassador for many events and competitions, IEEE Brand, IEEE Day 2018, PES Day 2018, MadC 2018, IEEE PES HAC, and PES Zero Hunger Day of IEEE Tunisia Section SIGHT Group. As well as many international events such as WIE ILS Porto, WIE ILS Tunisia, Rising Stars USA. She, with her team, won the second prize of the CMD Humanitarian Project contest for their project “Ecol’ lo Irrigation System” during the IAS Annual Meeting 2018, Portland, USA. She is also the winner of the second Prize of PES Green Entrepreneur Competition during the PES Student Congress 2018, Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil. She is dedicated to spreading the knowledge about IEEE to everyone and saw this as an opportunity to carry on her work as a volunteer woman engineer.
